  • Etcher version: 1.18.11
  • Operating system and architecture: OS X El Capitan
  • Image flashed: ???
  • What do you think should have happened: I should have been able to select the target drive by clicking on the checkbox next to it. See file attached in the comment below.
  • What happened: When I click, it didn't register. It acted as if it was in "read-only" mode
  • Do you see any meaningful error information in the DevTools? No

I am having the same issue. My source drive is an 8Gb Micro SD card in a USB reader formatted at FAT16. Target is a 128Gb MicroSD card in an SD card reader adapter. This is formatted in exFAT. I can choose either for the source and it doesn't change the behavior. When I go to select a target volume they are both listed as the source drive.

Etcher version 1.5.109 macOS Big Sur

Fixed mine with updating to the latest etcher version. The flash then failed, I had to allow permissions to files and folders for etcher.

I just got this issue on macOS Sonoma 10.7 and it took me a while to find this issue. I had to move my SD Card off of my USB dock and connect it directly to my Mac Studio port. I was using Etcher 1.19.1 as well.
