Unable to Flash Drive on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS

Maximize the Assets and download the latest version by *.deb
sudo apt-get install libfuse2 sudo apt-get install ./bal* (the name of the latest .deb package for Etcher)
Error message after selecting the USB Stick and the ISO image:
Something went wrong. If it is a compressed image, please check that the archive is not corrupted. The writer process ended unexpectedly.
-changing the .deb file into /tmp or the download folders permissions chmod 755 had no effect on the error. Installation from root also had no effect
Same as this issue. Rollback is an option.
