Triggerhappy config for volspotconnect2

I wrote a triggerhappy config file to control Volumio a while back (cf. https://community.volumio.org/t/guide-keyboard-shortcuts-with-triggerhappy/4826/13 and https://github.com/adaptiman/volumio-triggerhappy). I'm now using volspotconnect2. The triggerhappy mappings don't work for this plugin. Is it possible to control the plugin with a triggerhappy mapping? Is there an API for volspotconnect2? I'd be happy to work it out.
