Saving settings / features / calibration and scaling
Hey ! I love MyoMapper and it's really great but I can't seem to understand if it's possible to save selected features / calibration and scaling settings or I have to manually adjust it every session ? didn't find anything on the wiki. sorry if I've missed something basic :)
Hi @Amitsegall , Unfortunately there is not chance to save the settings now. Soon I will start to bring a series of improvements on Myo Mapper, and this will definitely be one of the features to include.
@balandinodidonato I created a separate issue for this in the past, I'll close it and keep this one. One improvement that might help temporarily is to not shut down Myo Mapper when Myo Connect isn't running (show the message but not close it). Myo connect is quite heavy to run so I shut it down, but it forces me to close Myo Mapper if I focus the window, which means I lose all the settings. Not sure what the implications are though.
@najiglass Myo Connect has to be running in order for Myo Mapper to work. That's why Myo Mapper closes down. Without Myo Connect running Myo Mapper cannot pull data from the Myo. TBH there isn't much that can be done. that's the way Thalmic coded stuff.
I'm working on a new release of Myo Mapper, and saving settings will be one of the main features.
Sorry I meant just keep the application open (to save preferences) even if Myo Mapper doesn’t receive any data. Myo Mapper already stays open without Myo Connect, but once you focus on the application it shuts down. If we could show the warning but not shut it down (and detect when Myo connect is running again) that would be ideal, at least until we have the settings in Myo mapper. Though I know that’s more work. Thank you!
