what is the proper way to install the library in the Arduino IDE?

From the Arduino IDE, you can go to Tools -> Manage Libraries... or Ctrl + Shift + I And the search for CRC32. The IDE will show you a list of several libraries. Select the one that matches this one (it will show the author's name). Then select the version and click Install
