Plugins is broken

Seems either there is a bug in the plugin or there is an edge case that is not handled. I installed the plugin and did the setup but I have only the cypress.json configuration file. No other files to extend. This might cause the issue.

Hmm, I wish the issue was a little more specific, I am open to a pull request that fixes this
