Having a function which copies the text of a tweet to the clipboard would be nice.

Would this be something we need as a seperate feature?

Or should we allow a user to just be able to text-select the text of a tweet, and copy using the right-click context menu?

Just to be clear, this is about a textual representation of the entire tweet, right? something like

@foobar: "hey blabla tweet text"

? Or really just the text (in which case I don't see why that's useful given that you can select and copy it in the tweet's details).

I would love this as I often communicate with a friend via DM, and because Twitter doesn't allow most links via DM we work around it with text like "take a look at www google com". That means I have to copy the text, paste it into the browser and replace the spaces with dots. But right now, it's not possible to highlight/copy text.

Personally, I'm not bothered about any special buttons. I just want to be able to highlight text in a tweet/DM and hit ctrl+c to copy it to the clipboard.

I actually need to do this quite often, so the lack of ability is a showstopper for an otherwise awesome client for me right now.
