TCP Client connection based on host address rather than IP address

Open typhoon2099 opened this issue 1 year ago • 0 comments

I'm trying to set up a TCP client mode connection to my laptop, which can either be connected via LAN or WiFI. As such the IP address is subject to change. In other software such as MALP I use the host name via mDNS (eg laptop.local), which makes it easy to switch connections and keep the connection alive.

At the moment it only seems to be possible to connect using the IP address, which means it will only work when I'm on WiFi, and the only alternative would be to either set up a static IP on my laptop for both connections, or to set up two sources in snapserver.

Is there the possibility to add this functionality? Is there something else I can do in my configuration to get it working?
