Hi, I just found your project. I like it a lot and find it very interesting.

I would like to introduce you to my project, which is very similar. Maybe you find my ideas and approaches useful, or you can safe some time.

Recently I implemented almost the whole OBD-II protocol for Scapy: https://scapy.readthedocs.io/en/latest/layers/automotive.html#obd. The documentation shows some examples.

I'm using socketCAN as well. I spent a lot of time implementing ISO-TP in a portable way, but I didn't had time to look into VWTP. I'm really happy that your project provides some insights.
