Process for CNCF Booth Volunteers
Since Backstage is set to be a key focus for the CNCF at the upcoming KubeCon, I was thinking it would be a fantastic idea to get the community more involved at the Pavilion Booth. So, I was wondering what the process for community members to volunteer for shifts? If possible, having an official sign-up process documented or finding out the main point of contact would be great to have. 🙂

This is a fantastic idea, @schultzp2020!
I'm a recent contributor to the Backstage project (currently working on a plugin) and would be very interested in learning more about the possibility of volunteering at a future KubeCon. I'd love to help represent the project and share what I've learned with the community. I'm based in India, so I'm particularly keen to understand the process and what might be involved for international community members.
Good idea @schultzp2020! We've done this in the past ofc (both @schultzp2020 and @BethGriggs have helped out). We haven't quite set up an official process but in the meantime commenting on this issue is a stop-gap. We're looking for people that have been around the project long enough to pick up knowledge across the entire product. In particular knowledge of the core features and the problems that we aim to solve for adopters. You'd be presenting the project as a whole, explaining it to someone that isn't familiar with Backstage, and perhaps answering a few questions. Everyone that has helped out so far is in one of the @backstage/*-maintainer teams, although it's not strictly a requirement.
Great idea @schultzp2020 ! I think there are more than enough people who would like to participate!
Would love to help out!
I will be at KubeCon and can help out. 🙂
@aramissennyeydd, @schultzp2020, thank you! I reached out on Discord
Would like to lend a hand here for the EU KubeCon 😁
