I apologize that there has been no response. I've pinged the folks who usually help with these applications.

@elisseck thank you for the vouch, and @herbdool thanks for the review and the ping.
@bennybobw next steps for taking over as maintainer are 1) getting your PR to update the README merged, and then 2) updating your access on the repo to admin.
I left a comment on the PR, it looks like it contains a second accidental commit related to a different issue. As soon as that is removed from the PR, we can move forward with both 1 and 2!
I'm going to close this issue, but if you have any questions feel free to re-open this one or a open a new one.
