This is an elegant solution for just what a client once asked for. Now I'm migrating them from D7 to BD, + only able to get through the coder upgrade step, not having the skill level to port.

@oadaeh I see you are maintainer of the drupal module + also involved with Backdrop, so just wanting to mention this port request to you.

@echozone I could probably help more if you make the project public, even if it's only in a personal repository for now. A word of warning, however, I haven't really looked at the code in several years.

@oadaeh thanks for responding :-) All I did is run the D7 version through coder upgrade. That is likely easier for you to also do than for me to figure out how to get it on GitHub properly. Looks like it might not be that complicated for someone who knows what they are doing!
