Create new Backdrop NameCheap account and transfer all domains into it
It's come up several times that it is a problem that only one person has access to DNS for Backdrop properties. In order to move this forward I am going to create a new NameCheap account so that all backdrop domains can be transferred there.
I have located an existing NameCheap account with the username backdropcms. I have the password, but do not have access to the OTP code. Or the recovery codes. I will contact live chat about how to get into the account...
I had previously bound the 2FA to my phone. I logged in, disconnected it, and then set up 2FA again with 1Password. I think this should allow anyone in the DevOps group to authenticate now.
As an FYI, NameCheap does allow you to set up multiple phone numbers to use for 2FA. Joseph and I have both our phones on our account, so we don't need to ask each other for the code.
@jenlampton Is this all good now, or is work still needed here?
@BWPanda I don't know if all the domain names have been transferred over. We should confirm before closing this ticket. Oh also: NameCheap now allows 2fa that can be saved in 1Password :)
@jenlampton Check in on how this is going...?
If there's progress on an issue, someone will most likely add a comment. There's usually no need to ask for an update.
