HP: Elitebook 850 G6 Bios password

Can someone assist me with resetting the BIOS password please?

Not vulnerable to BIOS Master Password attack. HP used to provide unique .bin files to unlock these but not for 3 years now. Your only method is to dump the BIOS via SPI reader, clean & rewrite to the laptop.

Is the process to clean the dump documented anywhere? I have a locked EliteBook 840 G3 that I would like to attempt myself. Can I dump the BIOS image from Linux or do I need an external reader?

Hey, I have an HP 835 G7, I don't know the BIOS admin password and I don't want to get locked out. Of course HP support says I need a new motherboard and I need to pay even tho the laptop in under warranty. I have some questions:

  • Can I dump/load the BIOS (using CH341A) without removing the chip from the board ?
  • Once I have a dump, how did you know which bytes to change in the .bin @B0mberManFanky ?
