Mint 18.1 can't find bookworm

I've installed bookworm, and the software manager says it is installed.

However, I can't find the program. It doesn't appear as an option when I attempt to open epub files in thunar, either.

Can you help? Ex windoze user trying to get used to the linux world.

Open a terminal and see if the following command works : com.github.babluboy.bookworm

'command not found'. But in software manager bookworm still shows as installed.

thats strange. I'm not very close to Mint, but there should be the bookworm binary if its installed, you can try finding it. If not you can try building from source using the commands provided here: https://babluboy.github.io/bookworm/#install

The commands are for elementary os/ubuntu/debian, but there will be similar packages for Mint. Will be great if you can resolve the issue or let me know the full install from source for Mint and I can post it on the website for benefit of other users

Same on ubuntu 16.04 as well, installed but command not found.

I have installed from the PPA bookworm-team/bookworm, under Mint 19.3, and have no problems of this kind.

Perhaps the issue is less likely to appear on newer OS versions.

If upgrading is not an appealing option, then maybe provide the output from running apt show bookworm...?

I think anyone that's getting the command not found is probably experiencing the same issue. I'm going to try and either install the flatpack or source install.
