Today we figured out that Synesthesia's UI has basically everything on our wishlist and we should steal as much of it as possible. Behold:

Pictured: "Scene controls" - show specific controls "Meta controls" - general controls that apply to every show "Media" - video feeds (I currently have my webcam selected which is why the final output (top right) has me sitting in a psychedelic acid bath)

ALSO: It has midi support. By clicking the blue MIDI text button in the top right, you can select any control, hit/move any external midi key or slider (for example, my 61-key midi keyboard, or the midi output from moving a fader or turning a knob on my DJM mixer) and have it hooked up to that control. Works amazingly well.
