Strange cropping issue on iPad3

I am on an iPad 3 (WiFi + CDMA) and for some reason the left side of the screen is cropped and everything is shifted. Happens on all apps except messages and maps (anything with list views)

What way is the device rotated? (What side is the home button on?)

Home button was on the right. Although booting up -- anyway I held it, orientation would always start this way.
