Allow moving the ".brain" folder

Open jasonhansel opened this issue 9 years ago • 5 comments

I am using PlainNotes on Windows 8.1. Currently, whenever I start PlainNotes, it creates a ".brain" folder on my desktop. Would you consider adding a setting so that I could put this folder someplace else? It would make my desktop less cluttered.

open Preferences > Package Settings > PlainNotes > Settings -- User and change the root to a folder you like. for example:

{
 "root": "C:\\My Notes\\"
}

remember to escape backslashes.

Thank you! Sorry for not noticing that.

Actually, that didn't work. The ".brain" folder is still being created. Should this issue be reopened?

Don't know if it's still a problem for you, @jasonhansel, but there is a setting (jotter_dir) that you can change to rename your .brain folder however you like

BTW, I believe, the issue should be closed
