Please add more informatoin about the JPRQ server
This looks like a very interesting project and currently, we pay money to use Ngrok. That being said I would like to know more about the JPRQ server, like:
- Who and what people are behind the server? Why should I trust it?
- Who is paying for the server?
- What is the plan to continue to fund this project?
This would be helpful information to add to the README.md.
Thanks for your interest in JPRQ.
I am the only person behind the server, it's running in a single droplet ($10/mo) in Digital Ocean. Since I am a student, every year I receive annual coupons for cloud computing resources from Digital Ocean, AWS, Azure, etc. For the next 3 years, I plan to spend them on JPRQ.
The project is not funded by anyone yet. Next, I would like to work on exposing any TCP server (ssh, databases) with JPRQ. After that, I may ask to donate to support JPRQ in the Github repository.
Hope I could answer your questions, I will update the README soon.
Yes, that's a great start, thank you. I think it will be helpful to others if you add it to the README. It might also be worth adding something about trust ... maybe it might be helpful to add something about trust. For example, how do we know you're not doing something with the data that goes through your server?
I also think that it's worth noting as this is open source it would be nice to explain the installation instructions for the server (will reduce your cost potentially and people with security mindset will opt to that)
I would see if there is anything to learn from bitwarden, who did something similar
