Bot Only Posting White Trade Items
I don't know if this is the correct place to post this, but my ah-bot is only posting white quality trade good items. Everything is default with the exception of the following:
mod_ahtbot.config:
ItemsPerCycle = 200 ConsiderOnlyBotAuctions = 1
VendorTradeGoods = 1
mod_auctionhousebot SQL Table
- I zeroed all the percentages, then executed the following query (leaving all other items default):
UPDATE acore_world.mod_auctionhousebot SET maxitems = 3000, minitems = 3000, percentwhitetradegoods = 25, percentgreentradegoods = 13, percentbluetradegoods = 7, percentpurpletradegoods = 5, percentwhiteitems = 0, percentgreenitems = 30, percentblueitems = 15, percentpurpleitems = 5
WHERE auctionhouse = 2 OR auctionhouse = 6 OR auctionhouse = 7;
Now, I have had the maxitems and minitems up to 500,000 and as low as 1000 for troubleshooting, but no matter what I do, I cannot seem to get the bot to post anything other than white quality trade goods. The bot will literally fill up the AH with "maxitems" of white trade goods.
Seeing as how there hasn't been any other posts about it, with the exception of one person who resolved the issue by waiting longer, I thought I would come here, because clearly I am doing something wrong that I don't understand.
Your help is much appreciated. I do know some C++ so I am not completely inept at making code changes locally if needed.
Thanks!
I had similar issues recently. Tried a few different things, one of which eventually fixed it.
- Deleted the AHBot config file and the mod_auctionhousebot-table and re-applied them.
- Purged the entire auctionhouse, making sure the first auction id reset to 0.
- Setting minitems and maxitems to the same value during initial AH population.
My current hypothesis is that the bot posts the lowest rarity first, and counts the number of each item as a percentage of maxitems, which means if the bot reaches minitems before running out of white items to add, it'll stop and wait with only white items posted. I even saw some really wild items that looked like debug-items. Though. from the settings you posted it looks like you have the same value for both, so maybe I'm wrong?
What I do now is I periodically purge the AH (when the highest auction Id reaches 100k or when I notice the ratios being off), then put min and max as the same number and let it fully populate. Then change the maxitems to higher than min, and restart. That way it re-adds auction when they run out. If I keep min & max the same after filling up the bot refuses to post new auctions when they run out.
Keep in mind I could be wrong and fixed it through sheer dumb luck!

see https://github.com/azerothcore/mod-ah-bot/pull/139 for fix.
As for weird debug items it can happen when you enable AuctionHouseBot.OtherItems or AuctionHouseBot.OtherTradeGoods
They were not put in the disabled items, they don't do anything you can safely ignore them.
Seeing this also as well. First time I started server, AH was well stocked with various quality of items. After a few days, went back to AH and noticed nothing but "common" quality bot auctions. Bot buys items as expected, only sells white items. Have tried various changes in the .conf and server restarts with no effect.
I recommend trying this fork https://github.com/NathanHandley/mod-ah-bot
To followup, leaving the server running for several days ALL of the items disappear and no new items are restocked. A restart seems to repopulate the items over time, then they expire and are not restocked again. Is there a setting I'm not doing correctly to fix this? Edit: I see these were addressed in #138 & #139, I'm running a repack so guess I'll wait and see if it gets updated.
Use the latest version of the addon. Do a git pull. This has been already fixed.
@adarbyem pls close this issue it has been fixed.
