Sons of Hodir reputation bug

Open BugmanVSGit opened this issue 2 years ago • 5 comments

Current Behaviour

Even after becoming neutral+ with the sons of hodir you are still considered "at war" with them by default ~~able to attack them, and must reduce and then raise (not just raise) your reputation with them every time you restart the server to prevent this. you are still considered "at war" with them via this temporary fix.~~

Expected Blizzlike Behaviour

You should not still be considered "at war" with the sons of hodir after becoming neutral/friendly+ with them.

Steps to reproduce the problem

  1. Become neutral or higher with sons of hodir
  2. restart server
  3. hover over sons of hodir NPCs and observe "at war" box in attack cursor, or ".character reputation [$charname]" and observe reputation 1119

I can confirm this.

I tried it without modules and it still happens.

Is this issue specific to the Sons of Hodir or does this happen with any other faction with the at war option?

I haven't seen it with any other faction. I don't have every single faction in my reputation list, of course, but this is the only one I've noticed to be behaving badly.

I didn't realize it, but you can simply click on the faction in "reputation" and uncheck the "at war" box, it still shouldn't have you at war with them by default

I ran into this issue on my server as well. One of the players gained honored reputation with the Timbermaw hold(faction 576), and couldn't buy from the vendor without attacking them. It appears that reaching neutral or higher reputation, and relogging causes the game client to realize you are at war with said faction.

Multiple faction in-game have an at war status by default, I don't know if this is required for the server code to work so I'm not touching it. Someone with more knowledge might know.

Below a list of all factions that have at war on by default.(might not be a complete list) 70, 87, 92, 93, 509, 730, 910, 946, 978, 1015, 1082, 1119, 1126
