[Feature Request] Quest editing is very poorly constructed
Quets editing is really hard because Keira positions things in a bad order and includes unused fields whilst hiding important fields on different pages.
Quests do not use "AreaDescription" yet they are in the 4 "texts" area.
Currently it's hidden across 3 pages and in this bad order:
- QuestCompletionLog (??? Last)
- QuestDescription
- AreaDescription (NOT USED)
- LogDescription (After Completion?)
- RewardText (Different Page)
- Completion Text (Different Page)
Rewardtext is hidden in quest offer reward subfolder.
Completion text is hidden in quest request item subfolder (and does not show up on the right).
This is what it should be like for good/easy/useful quest editing/creation:
When writing custom quests you want to do them in order and all on the same page.
- QuestDescription
- LogDescription
- CompletionText
- QuestCompletionLog
- RewardText
Please can you improve this as TrinityCreator recently broke and its last supported Azerothcore Database is 2022 so there's now no tool to make quests.
hi @StraysFromPath , thanks for your suggestion.
The Quest fields are separated in different editors by their tables, but I admit they might not appear in the most user-friendly order, so we can surely consider making an improvement. While I cannot make any promises as it might get very time-consuming, I think it is worth at least having a look into this.
I never used Trinitycreator and apparently it only supports Windows, it would be nice can you provide clear and detailed screenshots of how you think fields can be better organised (include Trinitycreator examples if you'd like).

You can type directly into the quest field on the right.
Some other nice quality of life trinitycreator features are that it tells you what IDs are what maps/zones.
It also translates the XP reward DBC numbers from 1-10 to "short escort" or "simple slay".
