Link Capture Order (suggestion not issue)

Open ProgrammerFan1 opened this issue 1 year ago • 4 comments

Hello LinkGopher: Thank you for the excellent browser ext. Is there a way to capture the page links from the page from top to bottom in order, scanning from left to right? On some pages the contents are sorted in a date ascending or descending order, and it would be great to capture the links in that order as well. Just a suggestion. It work perfectly otherwise. ProgrammerFan1 (I'm sorry if this is the wrong category to post this, first time on GitHub. I couldn't find the suggestion link.)

Currently there is not such an option, and that's a interesting suggestion.

Re-upping this suggestion! Would be very nice to have an option. There are some pages where link order might matter more than others. Having links in page order might be better default functionality as well. Linkgrabber for Chrome does this.

I was thinking about the utility of the Link Gopher which is very useful (MANY thanks to Andrew Z!). Another suggestion came to mind. The plugin aggregates the links (URLs) from the webpage and displays them as output that can be filtered by the user. A URL in a webpage, normally has a TEXT label of what the URL goes to.

When the plugin is clicked, it displays the following: "Extract all Links - Extract only Domains - Extract links by Filter - About Link Gopher" In that space, would it be possible to put a small check box for the option to have the respective (or associated) TEXT label instead of the URL address? So the "results" page that is created has the TEXT that you can read from the original webpage WITH the embedded URL. Thanks again to Andrew!! Now back to Netflix...
