Please provide this via the Google Play Store.
My rationale is available at https://github.com/Stypox/dicio-android/issues/92#issue-1327604867.
@rokejulianlockhart Don't know if that's gonna happen anytime soon
@axel358, that's alright; I'm in no rush.
However, it would be wonderful, not least for discovery by new users, and ease of management for the user, of course, hence my suggestion.
@axel358, mind if I separate this into separate issues for each storefont (I'd like to create a new one solely for F-Droid, and change this to be for the Play Store)? I don't know whether any binary libraries are used in this, so I believe that it is sensical.
I think this should be two separate issues. But, I also feel there could be more options out there we aren't thinking about
@rokejulianlockhart Because of where i live i'm not allowed to post apps on the PlayStore or access fdroid's GitLab repository. I could setup a vpn but i don't consider it worth the trouble. I won't close this issue cuz who knows, maybe tomorrow the world will be a better place but i won't put any extra effort on making it happen.
@axel358 maybe you're allowed to attach the APK to your releases here (just tag the releases and attach the APK)?
@IzzySoft, I agree that GitHub Releases is a good place to start.
However, since @axel358 can't access F-Droid's GitLab repository currently, would you be able to make a pull request (or whatever's necessary) to add it?
I suggest it only if it's easy; I just can't do it myself since I'm not a wizz kid at git
.
@axel358, have you tried ProtonVPN or, better yet, tor
?
@rokejulianlockhart makes no sense before there are tagged releases. My repo would pick the APKs from there, and F-Droid would build from commits pointed to by a tag. So no tag… well…
@IzzySoft I might start tagging releases once i complete all the code refractoring i started a while ago
Just give me another ping when you're ready then, and I'll take another look.

Seems like a simple solution. Since the app is Open Source anyway, outsource it to one of the contributors, and make a contract with them guaranteeing nobody will get screwed over. That way you'll reach a wider audience without breaking any presumed laws since you're technically not the publisher.
But that's just my suggestion. I don't know how laws work wherever you're from.
Don't think smart dock is the kind of app that would get allowed on Play Store
@axel358, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.farmerbb.taskbar is.
@rokejulianlockhart No, we have the Play Store version of it
What?
