Usage with Superbook (change of dpi)

Open JVariance opened this issue 1 year ago • 5 comments

Hi, I have a Superbook, which I'd like to use with smartdock since the development of the original app Sentio Desktop is abandoned since some years. In order to have the phone display fill up the whole screen of the superbook you could make some changes via adb (see Medium article). I wonder if you could implement this feature for smartdock.

Best regards

Which value should I fill in? It's 13.3 inches and 1920x1080 IPS (https://trio3tech.com/en-international/products/13-3-superbook)

Same question here, there's no guidance on what values to enter, would be grateful for a response @axel358

Might also be good to include the adb commands for resetting these changes in the readme in case the phone becomes unusable

Usually the values range from 126 to 360. Now a few ways to go about this:

  • Add min/max hints
  • Change to using a slider with tick marks like the Settings app already has but with more values to choose from
  • Remove the setting

@axel358 Is there also an auto-launch feature, that launches Smart Dock whenever connecting the smartphone to the Superbook/an external device? In advanced settings, there are 'Run autostart script' and 'Edit autostart script'. Could I achieve it with those? If yes, what would the script look like?
