Are you using MS Windows? You can install your own streamlink plugins.

In Tartube's main menu, click System > Open MSYS2 terminal...

In the new window, type something like streamlink --plugin install XYZ

In the future, it could be possible to install streamlink plugins directly from Tartube's menu. but at the moment it's not possible - streamlink's documentation is unavailable (github.io has been unavailable for days). I note also that some users have been reporting that kick can no longer be installed, but maybe that problem has been resolved already.

Hey sorry for just replying today. I am using a mac at the moment for tartbe as Mac OS/linux is for some reason the only platform on which recording youtube livestreams in max quality (1440p) without it being corrupted in the end. So can you tell me how to install streamlink plugin on Mac OS.

Thanks so much for your great software!!

I don't have a Mac, so I don't know for sure. But the streamlink page says it can be installed using Pip or Homebrew.

So, open a terminal and try one of following lines:

brew install streamlink
pip install --user -U streamlink
