I think I inadvertently figured out what this is... Are you able to run self built 5.15-stable kernels? Or how can you test a fix?

Kind of secondary as the primary documentation should be for liburing. I will add them eventually if I have nothing else to do - or also happy to take patches...

I think this would be a lot more useful if it explains how the sqe is setup for a direct close, rather than just detail one way it definitely doesn't...

See the io_uring_enter.2 man page, it has a description of the sqe flags. But it's pretty simple - if your request takes a file descriptor, then you can set this...

Well, as the original author didn't want to get it updated, maybe someone else will. I'm not doing anything with it as-is.
