Facing issues while tailing the file in Kinesis Agent

We see that there is an inconsistent behaviour with the Kinesis Agent.

While tailing an application log file we see that behaviour of START_OF_FILE and END_OF_FILE is different. We see that with START_OF_FILE agent gets stuck after processing a certain number of lines. Then we see no more logs from the agent. However, if we put END_OF_FILE and add 30 seconds of delay then it works fine.
