Why delete what is supposed to be the "superior" format? Plus I don't see how this would be difficult to implement when the input for the "filters" is going to...
I don't see a reason to delete it either, even if you're implementing a mode thing you can just add a "Custom..." mode for what you already have
Or you could implement those "modes" a pre-configuration that just set the defaults for the options like a theme would fill in the colour options etc with it's defaults
