Tell us about your request What do you want us to build? An EKS add-on for Argo CC with all the inherent benefits with this like integration tests, updates etc.

Tell us about the problem you're trying to solve. What are you trying to do, and why is it hard? What outcome are you trying to achieve, ultimately, and why is it hard/impossible to do right now? What is the impact of not having this problem solved? The more details you can provide, the better we'll be able to understand and solve the problem. Splitting CD from CI is an excellent way to properly split responsibilities in larger teams. Using GitOPS for Continuous Delivery allows application definitions, configurations, and environments to be declarative and version controlled. It uses a pulled based method (gitops controllers are running inside the Kubernetes clusters) to fetch the configuration from git, which eliminates the need to provide access to kubernetes to your CI platform. Argo CD is one of the two main contenders (fluxcd is the other) on this field, with support to multiple namespaces, a web ui and many other nice features.
Are you currently working around this issue? How are you currently solving this problem? Installing and maintaining it manually
For tracking purpose, we do have a similar request for Flux v2 https://github.com/aws/containers-roadmap/issues/1593. Would be awesome to have the same for ArgoCD.
@mikestef9 Is there any way that ArgoCD community can help on creating new addon for https://github.com/argoproj-labs/argocd-operator by exemple ? I can see addons for datadog, cribl, haproxy, etc. as EKS add-ons from independent software vendors. Is there any clear documentation on how OSS communities may create and support their own ?
