Pin Context (@) Feature Not Working in Amazon Q VS Code Extension

Open vineethreddymaddula opened this issue 4 months ago • 1 comments

Problem

The pin context (@) feature in Amazon Q VS Code extension is not functioning properly. When attempting to use @file, @folder, or other context pinning features in the chat, they are not working as expected. This issue appears to be device-specific as the same feature works correctly for other users on their devices.

Steps to reproduce the issue

Expected behaviour

When typing @ in the Amazon Q chat, a dropdown should appear with available context options

@file should allow selection and inclusion of specific files from the workspace

@folder should allow selection and inclusion of entire folders

@workspace should include relevant workspace context

Selected context should be properly included in the chat conversation

System details (run AWS: About and/or Amazon Q: About)

  • OS: Windows_NT x64 10.0.19045
  • Visual Studio Code version: 1.103.2
  • AWS Toolkit version: N/A
Image
  • Amazon Q version: 1.93.0

Additional Information

The issue is device-specific - the same feature works correctly for other users

All other Amazon Q features appear to be working normally
