+1 - also encountering the same issue and really annoying to keep having to turn off between IDE restarts

Hi, I found some old threads related to this: https://github.com/withfig/fig/issues/2357 as of today I cannot repro it after installing the "CodeWhisperer for command line"(note that Fig has migrated to CodeWhisperer https://fig.io/).

I want to confirm that it's the case that this issue only occurs in the old Fig extension but not the latest "CodeWhisperer for command line" plugin. Could you remove the old fig plugin and try the new CodeWhisperer for CLI plugin and see if this issue still persists?

In fact, I only noticed that this started happening after I'd replaced fig with CodeWhisperer... When disabled, the problem subsides

Could you record a video clip for this one? Somehow I can't repro it on my end using 2024.1 beta and the setting doesn't go back as unexpected.

A video is included in the link issue at jetbrains

Not sure if this is a permission issue but I don't see any video attachments in this issue: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-349407

Could you also attach it here?

If you disable or remove CodeWhisperer for CLI, but keeps the "AWS Toolkit" extension(Note that they are two different things). Does this issue still occur?

andrewyuq avatar Mar 25 '24 11:03 andrewyuq

No. Disabling CodeWhisperer alone is enough

Got it. It seems like this is an issue specific for Fig/CodeWhisperer for CLI and I will follow up with our CodeWhisperer for CLI team on this.
