Can I record call locally in-app? not on server but on the device. I mean just record the call even if is just the voice? Thanks

We don't currently support this. I will leave this open as a feature request.

is there an alternate solution for recording audio locally?

Hi @pragadeeshNIS - unfortunately there's no SDK support yet for this. The options you can explore are 1) system / other third party app for recording audio 2) system API to capture audio output from your app 3) consider server side capture https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/business-productivity/capture-amazon-chime-sdk-meetings-using-media-capture-pipelines/
