Retrieve current conversation session on refresh

When a user refreshes the page, the bot starts a new conversation as opposed to enabling the user to continue from where the conversation was left off. Is there a way to for the user to continue from the last point of contact? E.g. could be where the bot is helping the user make a buying decision and the user is flipping pages resulting in the conversation starting over where the user has to start the conversation from scratch
