Way to clean up old records / resources ?

There should there be a way to clean up old records / resources - perhaps with a bucket lifecycle ?

If the system creates 10k rows a day, eventually it will get quite large and take longer to crawl & use ? Old resources which may no longer exist (e.g. spot nodes etc) will be present but not needed
