SNS Mobile push notifications - Platform applications

SNS mobile push notifications are completely unsupported by CloudFormation. I would say at least the platforma applications make sense to implement in CloudFormation.

A new resource type to do the one time setup of a push notification platform application, that has parameters for the use of the different notification providers and their required login details.

+1 for this. I understand that it's tricky from CloudFormation perspective because there are credentials required - perhaps the CF resource could require these to be in parameter store or secret manager?

Hi @pispico, @JoeAlamo We are planning to do the CFN support for Push notification once we have successfully migrated existing SNS resources to self service. The expected timeline to complete the migration is in Q1.

SNS Resources are now live in Github. https://github.com/aws-cloudformation/aws-cloudformation-resource-providers-sns. You can fork it and contribute. We are starting to migrate SNS Resources to self-service
