I created the gen2 app and stuck at a point after sandbox environment

Describe the content issue: I created a sample gen2 app following the quick start guide. I also created a sandbox and got it working. Now, my app needs to talk to sandbox or to a real environment. But there is no real dev or prod environment created in the application ( i checked the console). There is no instruction on how to create one for gen2. If i ask chatgpt , it is haullicinating me to use gen1 commands. Can you at least complete that quick start guide with instruction on how to add new environment for gen2 setup ? how do i update sandbox.
