Add cookie backed auto redirect to either current or legacy docs

I began learning Amplify in the past couple of weeks and rely on google to help find answers to my questions. Frequently I'll reach a result that is in the legacy docs and I'll get confused by reading obsolete documents.

I would love to see an enhancement to the popup that shows either: You are currently viewing the new GraphQL transformer v2 docs Looking for legacy docs? or: You are currently viewing the legacy GraphQL Transformer documentation. View latest documentation

It would have a checkbox - remember my choice, and then an automatic redirect would keep my focus on the desired edition.

Technically we have a call out on the page—see below. Have you noticed it? I personally don't, and have been thinking we should make it more prominent.

Perhaps a banner across the top of the page, as on reactnative.dev?

I was referring to that box. It is poorly differentiated between current and legacy versions. A cancelable Auto-forward after a couple of seconds would greatly aid usability.
