This is a feature request for adding Push Notification Service for Flutter like we have it for React/iOS/Android.

Key capabilities:

  1. Send notification messages or data messages
  2. Versatile message targeting
  3. Send messages from client apps

We can discuss alternative temporarily solution before the official plugin come out.

I am aware that amplify android push notification and amplify ios push notification . will it works if we configure it in flutter?

Hi @jobypthomas @DanielChuDC another customer has investigated adding push notifications to their flutter app with some success ..

I'll need to investigate what he did more to give you a better idea of what's possible, in the meantime you can check out the issue to see what they've attempted:

I know it's not an exact match to what is offered in the Amplify JS library right now, but perhaps it could meet some of your needs for now?

@fjnoyp this would be give some helps that we can do the push notification programmatically. Ultimately, we should be able to

  1. Target push notification based on campaign.
  2. Specific condition written in aws lamda with sns.
  3. Based on the database changes to trigger push notification.
