Documentation on how to add to an existing Django-CMS setup?

Open stuartaw opened this issue 8 years ago • 2 comments

Perhaps I am just being slow, however try as I may I cannot find any description of how to add this to an existing Django-CMS project, which I would have thought would be a common situation? I suspect ti is not particularly difficult, however it seems an odd oversight unless there are issues in using such a path?

Hi,

The reason we do not have this documentation yet is lack of time. If you think you can contribute to this, please go ahead.

I started to work on this some months ago, but then other things got in the way. Unfortunately, I don't know where I have the branch I created back then. I can try to search my stuff later, maybe I can find it.

This is the repository I intended to use as an example for this documentation (not much in there yet).

@stuartaw the best approach would be to get the supplied demo site up and running. Afterwards try to merge the dependencies and configurations of it with your running CMS. If you feel fluent enough, it woulf be great if you can share your experience.
