Move Category

Hi can i move the category Kat2 from Default Categorie / Kat1 / Kat2 TO Default Category / Kat1 / Kat3 without dublicate the Category ?

can anyone help me with this problem ? I have the category Kat2 in Default Categorie / Kat1 / Kat2 and i want to move it to the Default Category / Kat1 / Kat3 without dublicate.

As far as I know, it's not possible at the moment. You have to delete and recreate - they are technically two separate categories for the import tool.

My PR is to solve a specific issue with the category position, won't fix this issue. For this you'll need another identifier, like the product sku, for your category. I have a category entity adapter that works using another identifier, but that is also the only identifier for the category, no backwards compatibility with using the category name/path as identifier.

@paales is also working on something like this.
