"Append Text" not working

Hey there, I'm using the reading time plugin to estimate how long the document is going to run as a YouTube script. For clarity, I want to change the ending word to "YouTube runtime" instead of "read", but it doesn't seem to do anything when I change the append text field. Any ideas on why this might be?
