Code refactor proposal

Hello Guys,

I will propose to do a refactor of this repo completely without php and primary creating an API

We used the PHP (as mentioned in the desc) only for saving the content somewhere. We're happy to move to something else (we thought about doing a chrome ext first) but we want the storage to be easy to backup and to be local only.
