Hi,

I'm having difficulties to use your excellent tool. I'm using 6 svg drawing that I optimized the way you prescribe : On a 1000pt x 1000pt canvas in Inkscape, I import the shape, select the whole, combine all the subshapes this shape contains, and center it horizontally. I'm not sure I understand the part about the baseline. First try I made, I took all the space available in the 1000x1000 canvas. On a second try, I used a guide to place the bottom of the shape at 250pt of the bottom edge. Is that what you meant ? I get a convincing png file with all the shapes and their character-names. Now, I haven't tried the svg font in Chrome or Opera for example, but I tried converting the svg font file to try it in Libre Office. The ttf (or otf) is really messy. hieroglyp doesn't output any error though ... When I tried the font, I get tiny tiny tiny glyphs that I have to enlarge to 300pt to make them visible.

Any help would be appreciated !

Thanks in advance

Very interesting. Can you email me the SVG files you're using? I'm at [email protected].

In the meantime, I would suggest trying the IcoMoon app — http://keyamoon.com/icomoon/app/ — which seems to be more solid tool for building webfonts than my gem.
