Remove problematic language from libtool.m4

Open Cropi opened this issue 3 years ago • 1 comments

We use some internal tools to detect problematic language(master, slave, black-list, white-list, etc...) inside the project. We identified the use of "master" inside the libtool generic library support script. Would it be possible to remove harmful language from the m4/libtool.m4 file? The mentioned code block is located at: https://github.com/autotools-mirror/libtool/blob/master/m4/libtool.m4#L1130 and it's connected with Darwin linker features.

I'd be happy to. I'll need to dig into some of the infrastructure to see how feasible it is from a technical point of view, but I think it would be a great change.
