There is Kernel and Qemu development work on ibm, dynamic-memory-v2 for PowerPC, Kernel: https://patchwork.ozlabs.org/cover/828666/ Qemu: https://patchwork.kernel.org/patch/10263343/

As far as I discussed with feature developer, it is affected and exercised during boot time of the guest, so explore and implement test scenarios to verify the functionality with migration,
