media player control

I'd like to request a function to control the media player, since python is missing this. It could be implemented sending keystrokes to the player process.

Isn't that a bit vague? What media player(s) in particular, can you clarify/elaborate (with an example)? To be cross-platform compatible?

It seems this request is better done as wrapper code using AutoPy that would be application or media player specific.
