Issue with the installation of the new version

When trying to install the new version pip install git+https://github.com/automl/pysmac.git --user for some reason its keep the installation under ../.local/lib/python2.7/site-packages/ and not moving the same under /usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages. However downloading the zipped tar seems to work fine. Any ideas around this behavior ?
