Describe the workflow you want to enable

Better testing of the repository, especially to be able to accept PRs more confidently.

Describe your proposed solution

  • Add more performance based tests: accuracy on benchmarks and inference, fit speed
  • Testing functionalities outside of fit
  • Change PR description making sure tests are added
  • Some of those tests lie in the prior-fitting repository
