Automatic extraction

First of all, I like this amazing tool very much. In my case, I have to deal with extracting data from multiple X-Y plots (such stock charts with moving average) so I wonder if there is some sort of mechanism can be built in as default behavior to automatic processing (with the least user interaction)? In other word, is it possible to set the coordinates by default based on where the edges of an input are, take the entire image as the box (active area) by default and the prominent colors of the data points/lines as feature points in the extraction/recognition process? Thanks!

This sort of thing comes up quite often and I have been thinking along these lines for a while. I hope I can get some time to work on this.
